Embedded Systems – part-time (M.Sc.)

The Pforzheim University, together with the Technical Academy Esslingen, offer a part time master's degree program that is to be completed within two and a half years. The structure of the study allows you ideally combine your studies with your work, since many classes take place on Fridays and Saturdays. There are approximately twelve attendance days per semester, either at the Pforzheim University or at the Technical Academy Esslingen. The hours are from 09:00 to 17:00.

Study Program Overview

This degree will enable you design complex embedded computer systems. The technical key aspects are the development of automation, information and communication systems. On the part of cross-specialism qualification, the focus is on project management and legal aspects. You will consolidate your theoretical and practical basic knowledge and deal with challenging projects.

Professional Opportunities

After graduating, you, as a specialists or a manager, will develop innovative solutions in the communications, information and automation technology. For instance, you can manage development projects or take over technical responsibility in small companies. Thanks to your profound technical training, you can work in the sales or product management of complex technical products.

Your profile - Prerequisites

A degree in a technically-oriented bachelor or German Diplom degree in electrical engineering, information technology, computer engineering or related college degrees in areas such as telecommunications, microsystem technology, automation technology, mechatronics, medical engineering or computer science, with focus on embedded systems.

Requirements

  • A university degree (bachelor or German diploma) in a relevant course with a minimum final grade of 2.5
  • The first university degree must have at least 180 ECTS points
  • Admission is also possible if you can show several years of work experience
  • A good command of German and English
  • Letter of recommendation
